X-ONE Roca B70M1 – Review
Tuesday, March 31st, 2009
A Netbook should be small and compact, but X-ONE is an example that it might be too small – and then the screen is very disappointing.
X-ONE has a screen of only seven inches, and it is really very small. So small that the screen feels completely klaustrofobisk to find around. At the same time, the screen as a bad viewing angle, you should not tilt your head to the side much before the picture deteriorates significantly.
The idea is that the small screen can be rotated completely around and tilted down over the keyboard, so the computer can be used as an electronic writing pad.
The machine has an enclosed pen, you can use to navigate on the screen.
Unfortunately, ordinary touch-screen and not electrostatic. This means that the mouse reacts equally well on the pen as in the parts of your hand which by accident have touched the screen. And it makes it very awkward to sit relaxed.
If you choose to use X-ONE as an ordinary computer keyboard is simply too small. It is so small that it feels as if you try to write with mittens on. But that’s obviously good to touch the computer, which is the size of a postage stamp.
The machine is equipped with Windows Vista, but has not been provided with additional programs beyond those already built into the system.
Conclusion
One Netbook should be small and compact, but X-ONE is an example that it might be too small – and then the screen is very disappointing.
The mouse is both robust and accurate, it is easy to install and a good choice for a mouse on the go.
The long battery life, large screen and keyboard makes Eee PC 1000HA good work on the go.
